Pakistan's Federal Investigation Agency has arrested a Pakistani hacker for being involved in compromising a telecom company's database.
The local authorities were able to trace and arrest the attacker suspected to penetrated the systems of Warid Telecom, and stolen the customers information from the databases and exposed it online.
Investigation started when one among the senior manager of a cellular company filed a grievance stating that the ‘information of its shoppers until 2006 had been exposed over the web.’
The website which is hosting the stolen data has now been shut down.
