Google Fined

Google is being investigated by CCI for unfair and anti-competitive practices. On Thursday, it had also directed Google to Co-operate in the investigations by handing over the documents and information the DG may call for.
An online matrimonial Portal in India also filed a complaint against google in 2012, reporting discriminatory practices by its adwords program.
Google expressed on thursday that "We're disappointed by this development. While we are confident that our products are compliant with competition law in India, we continue to cooperate fully with the Competition Commission of India's extensive and ongoing investigation, later added that We've not yet received this procedural order, but will review it once we have".
